About This Project
From Ant Colonies to Formiga
Formiga is a strategy game and simulation sandbox inspired by one core idea: ants solve coordination at scale through role clarity, signaling, and adaptation.
In the game, those lessons become mechanics. You guide a colony through hazards, resource pressure, and epoch-level decisions. Every run is deterministic and seed-based so results can be compared and learned.
Why Ants Matter Here
- Social organization: foragers, soldiers, and nurses have explicit jobs with distinct outcomes.
- Information exchange: pheromone-like feedback loops drive better decisions over time.
- Collaboration over heroics: colony success comes from coordinated behavior, not a single unit.
- Nest architecture: environment and infrastructure determine how well systems scale.
The Motivation Behind Formiga
This project extends your writing and talks connecting ant superorganisms with high-performing React Native teams and digital health development.
The central claim is consistent: nature has solved many coordination problems teams still face. Formiga turns that claim into a playable system.
It builds on From Ant Colonies to Digital Health: A Journey of Evolution and Innovation and your React Native EU and React Universe presentations.
